I wanted to go for a more vintage look as we went to the fair. I am rather pleased with how my hair came out!
Now, onto the drama!!
The dramas I will probably be following this season are:
-Vampire Heaven
-Kamo, Kyoto e iku
-Last Cinderella
-Sennyu Tantei Tokage
I have just finished watching episode one of Kamo, and I like it thus far but I think it'll start picking up speed in the next few episodes. I love traditional Japanese culture so this will be fascinating for me. Its about a woman who works for the Japanese Government in finance. Her mother living in Kyoto passes away leaving her daughter with the family inn, and 300million yen's worth of debt. In the first episode we see how Kamo hates Kyoto culture and tries to change the inn and cut costs. I shall see how I feel about this after a few episodes though ;)
I have seen two episodes of Last Cinderella and I love it. Its funny, has a great plot and a great cast. The story is about a woman who is a beautician but cares nothing for her own appearance. Theres two love interests (although atm only one has come forth). Theres also side stories about the lead character's two female friends. What I found interesting about this drama is its attitude towards sex. It frequently crops up, but not in the same way it normally does in drama where its either over glamourised in hotel suites or mentioned in ushered giggled tones using every other word but 'sex'. In this drama they're pretty open about it and I find that quite refreshing. It gives the drama a much more grown up feel. Also Haruma Miura plays one of the love interests and he is a particular favourite actor of mine. He was also in Bloody Monday and if you haven't seen that yet, you should.
Also I'm trying to catch up on last season's Biblia Koshodou no Jiken Techou
I'm about half way through and I love it. Its combines two things I love: clever detective work and old books. Definitely worth a watch.
I'm still trying to find the time to watch the others, but when I do I expect I shall try to write something up about them. At the moment I'm going through a number of university assessments before exams so I want to do well!
